My services as a labor doula include:
- Emotional, physical, and informational support for you and your partner
- Two to three prenatal visits in your home, including Birthing From Within mentoring for you and your partner
- Labor support at home and the hospital
- One to two postpartum visits
- Assistance with creating a birth plan
- Nutritional information
- Referrals
- Library of pregnancy and birth books and DVDs
Your postpartum visits include:
- Help with breastfeeding
- Help with infant care
- Help with care of mother
- Meals and light housework
- Placenta medicine preparation
I bring my own deep experience as a mother of two children to my doula practice. My children and their births are much of what inspired me to become a doula. I have experience in prenatal, labor, and infant massage, and a background in nutrition. I am committed to all women owning their births, being present to the miracle of their own bodies, and having the experience of giving birth in conscious awareness. I am honored to assist parents giving birth at home, in birthing centers, or in hospital settings.
